encounter with god
Psalm 8:4 came into mind, "..what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?" But then He answers me with a another verse, Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." There's no sin too big that our God can't forgive, His grace is sufficient for all. Read More

ilisoni's heart for ministry
Psalm 121:1-2 KJV [1] … I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. [2] My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
This year I decided to join the School Working Group for the first time because while in school, God used this group to reach out to me, my friends, and other schools. While staying in boarding school which is open to any kind of influence, I was thankful to God for SU Fiji for reminding me of my identity in Jesus Christ. One day I told myself that I would join this group of youths to be used by Jesus Christ for the extension of His Kingdom and to a make difference in someone’s life as some of them did in my life. Joining the SWG, I was elected by the volunteers to be the Assistant Treasurer for 2014. I was shocked.... I was thinking " How could I be the Assistant Treasurer!!.... I just started this year!!.."Well Gods words are true, HE HAS A PLAN FOR US , FOR ALL OF US [ Jeremiah 29:11 ].To tell you the truth, I was kind of worried when the planning for the year came up...worried about balancing SWG and school work, school fees, family, and many other things. But I recall a saying that goes.." Don't tell God how big your mountain is, but tell the mountain how BIG your God is. " So when our Treasurer left us at the end of this month migrating to Australia, I became the Treasurer and I know that it isn't easy. But HE IS BY MYSIDE on this climb up the mountain [Hebrew 13:5 ].But I know that Jesus never promised that doing HIS WILL was easy and I also know that behind every struggles their is a reward and PEACE, so hold on and NEVER SAY DIE as my House Moto in boarding school and treat your problem as an opportunity for you to be BLESSED and move a level up towards God. I think the only thing that keeps me burning for Jesus is BELIVING IN HIS WORD and LIVING BY FAITH. Without FAITH it is impossible to please God [ Hebrews 11:6 ]. When I tend to go by faith, its just like jumping off a cliff and BELIVING God will catch me. I'll share just a moment. "One day after school I had only $2.00 which wasn't enough to get me home. So I decided to walk the other way home and hopefully a bus could pick me up on the way and drop me off near my area but still quite a walking distance home. But no bus stoped and I knew if I caught a cab, it would cost around $5-$7. So I PRAYED and BELIVED in HIM by FAITH. I decided to catch a cab and told the cab driver just to drop me off where ever the meter reaches $2.00 so I can save some energy and shorten the road home. Just to cut the long story short, I was dropped in front of my house for just $2.00." Its just like that song.. " Every day with Jesus is Sweeter than the day before,..." Lastly, I thank God for My Family and Friends and for every struggle He has put us through which helped mould our character and attitude. Due to limited space, I'll just stop here. But remember in ALL THINGS GIVE THANKS [ 1 Thessalonians 5:18 ]. |
